Green Acres Farm

Many of the bricks were handcrafted and heated on the property. It was also here where the lumber was chopped and processed.

Farm Production

Tobacco, corn, wheat, soybeans, and cattle have all been grown on the C.F. Ferrell farm over the years. Recently it has turned into a commercial beef cow/calf enterprise.

When is the Farm Open?

During the fall and winter seasons, the farm is open to the public. Enjoy your stay!

About

History of the Farm

Although it is possible to trace the farm's history back to 1819, it was founded in 1898 by David's great-grandparents, Charles F. and Alice Ferrell. Charles built the farm home in 1900. In this house, Charlie and Alice raised two children. David's grandparents, George and Lula, reared three children.

What People Say

"Wonderful family environment, tons of activities for the kids to do! I also like how much was included in the price for $10. The corn maze was pretty amazing and was a good challenge to get all punches from each station. Our family will be visiting every year we had such an amazing time together."

"My son and I had a good time. The maze was on the shorter side, but that ended up being good because we had somewhere to be later in the afternoon. The maze pit stop markers had not been well maintained and some had been broken, but we found them all! There were other things to do as well like climb on tractors, slides swings, animals, etc. We enjoyed it"

Groupon Eva

"Thank you very much for allowing us to use your corn maze! Last month, my twin nephews celebrated their eighth birthday there. The kids kept telling us that it was the best birthday celebration they'd ever attended. We're constantly on the lookout for enjoyable things to do for their birthdays because they have to share, and Green Acres is hands down the greatest."

Sterling Andrew

"I don't know where else to have this much fun during the Fall for such a low price! A 2.5 mile corn maze just for starters and then tons of fun activities for kids such as hay rides, hay mounds/tunnels to climb and crawl through, inflatable bounce houses, inflatable barn yard for ages 4 and under, sand pile with toy construction trucks, spider web to climb, milk Bessie the cow, swings, corn hole, and much more all for one price."

"Always come here for my Christmas tree. They're always so nice and quick to help load it on my car."
